Transformer Operation & Maintenance Project – Heidelberg Cement | Suez EFC
Triple M continued delivering its specialized services in the operation and maintenance of power transformers. Under the supervision of Eng. Riyad Maher, Acting Project Manager, the team successfully completed an integrated project for Heidelberg Cement – Suez EFC, in full compliance with the highest approved quality and safety standards.
Cooling and Oil Filtration Works
The scope of work included the installation of 12 transformer coolers, in addition to filtering oil for a 500-liter tank. The reserve tank was fully cleaned, and breakdown tests were conducted before and after the filtration process to ensure oil quality and optimal operating efficiency.
Installation and Vacuum Works
The Triple M team installed the reserve tank, Buchholz relay, and low-voltage insulators. The works also included filtering two oil tanks with a capacity of 4,000 liters each, along with performing a full transformer vacuum process to eliminate moisture and impurities.
Operation Completion and Preparation
Work phases included installing external connections and cooling fans, completing the vacuum process, filling the transformer with oil, and installing the silica gel breather to maintain insulation quality and ensure long-term stable transformer performance.
Technical Testing and Safety Assurance
Triple M ensured the execution of all required technical tests, including the Ratio Test, DC insulation tests, and the Megger test, to verify transformer efficiency and readiness for safe operation.
Operational Readiness and Performance Continuity
The project was concluded with vacuuming the high-voltage tank, oil filling, and complete transformer cleaning, in preparation for safe and stable operation—ensuring continuity of performance and minimizing operational risks.
